Professional Information About Me
Name: Gustavo Giron-Rodriguez
Title: Stage Technology CTE Teacher
Background and Expertise
Hi everyone! My name is Gustavo Giron-Rodriguez, and I am a Stage Technology CTE teacher in the Production and Managerial Arts Pathway. I have been fortunate to work with some amazing companies, including ASM Global, where I worked as a stage carpenter for the Long Beach Terrace Theater, Rhino Staging, and currently Two Dot Productions, where I serve as a Brand Ambassador, Production Assistant, and Event Manager.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Theater from California State University, Long Beach, and I also hold skills certificates in Theatrical Lighting, Theatrical Sound, Stagecraft, and Stage Management and Production. My experience has allowed me to work on a variety of exciting live events and productions, and I love sharing that hands-on knowledge with my students.
Why I’m Passionate About This Pathway
"Stage technology combines two of my favorite things: creativity and problem-solving. Every production is unique, and I love the challenge of figuring out how to bring ideas to life through technical design and teamwork. Teaching this pathway allows me to pass along the skills and knowledge I’ve gained to students who are just as passionate about this industry as I am. Watching my students grow and succeed is what motivates me every day."
